Provincial Wellness Conference |
We took part in this year's Provincial Wellness Conference held at the Fredericton Convention Center. This two day event (November 7th and 8th) was filled with informational conferences, motivational speakers and networking opportunities.
We had the occasion to listen to government officials such as Premier David Alward and Dorothy Shephard, Minister of Healthy and Inclusive Communities. We also received captivating speeches from Sylvain Boudreau and Jim Diers along with numerous other workshops.
We are looking forward to work with all the wonderful people we encountered at the conference.

Progressive Agriculture Safety Day |
On September 13th NB Trail participated to the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day in Florenceville Bristol. The goal of this event was to teach children how to be safe in diverse situations. During the event children rotated among different safety stations, allowing each child the opportunity to participate in interactive and engaging activities. This year, more than 400 fifth graders learned about safety regarding trails, trains, water, tractors, AVTs, fire and many more. It was a very successful event and NB Trails is happy to have been able to educate the kids on how to use our trail system in a safe manner.

On August 17, 1700 cyclists could be seen in Campbellton, camped next to one of our trails. This group of cyclist were on a journey of 7 days (900km), starting in Matana Québec. As seen in the picture of the route below, the cyclists entered in NB through Campbellton and had the option to cycle through Dalhousie, El River Crossing, Balmoral, Val-d’Amour, Atholville, Charlo and Tide Head. Denyse Zyneniuk, Restigouche director of NB Trails and director of the NB Chapter of the International Appalachian Trail was able to capture pictures of some of the cyclists traveling through.

A clarification needs to be made to the recent news letter. The Marshes trail project has been approved for funding permitting that some conditions are met. We are still waiting for approval from relevant government agencies to move forward with the project.
Our apologies for the confusion
