MISSION

The mission of the NBTCI is to:

  • Advocate the concerns of non-motorized trail users
  • Advocate the development and maintenance of a quality non-motorized trail network to standards that meet the needs of trail users
  • Promote enhanced health, wellness, and enjoyment for residents and visitors through responsible use of a safe non-motorized trail network

VISION

  • Highly used non-motorized trails enhancing health and wellness of NB residents
  • Programs that encourage non-motorized trail use and provide education and enjoyment for visitors and residents
  • Coorperative marketing initiatives with a range of partners
  • Licensed tour operators providing activity packages on the network of trails
  • A connected network of non-motorized trails throughout New Brunswick
  • A network of NBTCI local trail user organizations throughout NB
  • NBTCI recognized as a leading voice influencing government policy regarding trails to the benefit of non-motorized trail users
  • Volunteer organization and recognition programs provide for maximum value of trail volunteers
  • A safe trail network with rules for use of the trails and enforcement

 

Local Trail Sponsors (LTS)

Local Trail Sponsors are the local branches of the NBTCI. They are community-based trails groups made up of volunteers who build, maintain, and promote local sections of trail.

Ranger Robin

Ranger Robin is an activity book for young children. It is available free to schools and youth groups, and can be obtain through the NBTCI.

How can you get involved?

You can get involved in two ways.

  • Financial support:
    Buy a membership
    Buy a meter of trail in NB
    Make a donation
  • Volunteer time:
    Make your contribution to the trail system through the donation of your time and effort to your local community's trail system.

Membership

The are three level of membership. 

Trail Supporter:  $2.00 individual or $5.00 per family.  This includes a quarterly electronic newsletter, discount on NBTCI merchandise & electronic Membership Card

Trail Booster:   $20.00 This includes a quarterly Electronic Newsletter, Discount on NBTCI merchandise, Membership Card, Lapel Pin & Incom Tax Receipt

Trail Builder:  $100.00.  This includes quarterely electronic newsletter, discount on NBTCI merchandise, membership card, lapel pin, income taxe receipt & a trail guide.

The Trans Canada Trail

The trans Canada Trail will wind its way through every province and territory in Canada, linking thousands of communities along its route. It will be the longest in the world, spanning approximately 16,000 km. The Trans Canada Trail will accommodate five core activities: walking, cycling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

Sentier NB Trail
The Sentier NB Trail will be 2,400 km of all season, shared-use recreational trail that will travel throughout the province. The same five core activities of the Trans Canada Trail will be permitted on the Sentier NB Trail.
